Royal Mail: company was fully privatised by 2015

The7stars is poised to win the UK media planning and buying account for the Royal Mail, following a competitive pitch process.

The Aperto Partnership worked as the pitch consultant throughout the review.

Havas Media Group was the incumbent for the postal and courier service, with its now-retired Arena Media brand winning the account in 2016.  When Arena Media was axed in 2021 as part of a core restructure, Havas Media also took on its clients, including Royal Mail.  Prior to Havas Media, Royal Mail’s media planning and buying account was with UM London from 2012 to 2016. OMD held the account between 2006 and 2012.

Nick Maddison, managing partner at the7stars, said: “We are delighted to be working with Royal Mail – an advertiser with a rich heritage and an ambitious future.  This was a refreshingly thorough pitch process with learnings at every stage so we are ready to hit the ground running in 2023.”
