BHF shortlists agencies in media agency review
Tuesday 20th April 2021
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is set to appoint a lead media agency to support in the delivery of its fundraising and brand marketing strategies.
The leading medical research charity has asked PHD, the Kite Factory and MediaCom to respond to its request for proposal (RFP) and expects to appoint an agency in May 2021.
The charity says it is not inviting any more agencies to take part in the review.
The tender follows BHF’s decision to bring together its fundraising, marketing, and communications teams in a new directorate under the leadership of Claire Sadler.
The charity says the re-structure means it makes commercial sense to appoint a lead media agency to support both its fundraising and brand marketing campaigns. The review is happening alongside a previously announced tender process to appoint a lead creative agency.
The BHF currently works with PHD and the Kite Factory, and the role of other supporting agencies will be reviewed as part of the process.
Claire Sadler, Executive Director of Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement at the BHF, said: “We have brought together our fundraising and brand marketing teams to enable a more integrated marketing strategy that will inspire greater support for our cause and fundraising initiatives. This means our requirements have changed, and we now need the support of a lead media agency to help us turn our ambitions into a reality.
“We’re extremely proud of our work with PHD and the Kite Factory, and we’re pleased that they, along with MediaCom, will be responding to the ambitious brief we have set out.”
The Aperto Partnership is supporting the BHF with the review.
